VTA Recruitment is recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of our client based in Southport that specialises in the safe removal and disposal of waste from the motor trade. With extensive experience, they specialise in providing efficient and reliable waste management solutions tailored specifically to garages of all sizes. They offer comprehensive services to collect, recycle, and safely dispose of various waste materials commonly generated in garages.

This would be an ideal role for someone who enjoys every element of finance from management accounts, balance sheet controls and forecasting. Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee a small team of 3 Working with some well-known brands they have an impressive client base, and pride themselves on meeting SLAs.

Job Description


Finance Manager duties include:
• Leading the Finance Department, ensuring smooth daily operations and overseeing a team of 3.
• Design own and deliver financial planning and analysis processes including forecast and budget
processes for the sites
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and legislations.
• Preparing monthly management accounts, quarterly VAT returns and coordinate tax/ year end auditing
processes.
• Managing financial risks of the company.
• Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
• Coordinating with external auditors and manage internal controls.
• Development of financial policies and procedures.
• Involvement with Payroll and HR related duties.


The Successful Applicant
The successful Finance Manager should have:

  • A degree in accounting or related field.
  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified or QBE.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and management skills.
  • Previous experience in distribution is advantageous.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel ability.
  • Experiance running a bussiness from a financial perspective.
