The Opportunity

This is an incredible opportunity to become a valued member of our team based in our Southport office.Our Insurance Trainee Program is designed to provide aspiring insurance professionals with a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience in the insurance industry.

This program offers a structured curriculum, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to various departments within our organisation, allowing trainees to develop a well-rounded skill set.

It is ideal for individuals seeking a rewarding and challenging career in the insurance sector.

The position is a first rung opportunity to work within a professional Insurance Broking office.

The candidate must show a strong commitment to providing good customer care and a willingness to learn, whilst workingtowards obtaining the Level 3 Insurance Practitioner Standard, supported by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Qualifications, to become Cert CII.

No prior experience is required. You will be given appropriate support and supervision to both carry out your job role and complete the apprenticeship.

The position will involve administration and support for our New Business, Renewals and Customer Service / Admin teams, including data handling.

  • General office duties including filing, scanning, photocopying, checking documents, Data Input, Excel, Word Processing
  • You will be handling our customer enquiries via email, letter and telephone, in a timely manner, providing a great customer experience.
  • Demonstrate care and empathy for our customers and their needs when handling customer enquiries.
  • Achieve high standards of quality, efficiency, and productivity.

About you

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate confidence, flexibility, and motivation and be committed to developing themselves to build a long-term career with Birkdale Insurance Group You will also hold:

  • 3 GCSEs A-C (or current equivalent) including Maths and English.

Across the apprenticeship, you will be required to attend coaching sessions (a mixture of face-to-face and online learning), and Cert CII training workshops. You will need to commit to 462 hours of learning over the course of the programme to meet the requirements.

Committed to completing both the apprenticeship and CII qualification.
