Job Title: Intervention Teacher (Year 6 & Year 1) Location: Southport, Merseyside Salary: From £120 per day (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (ASAP Start - End of Academic Year) About Us:Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Intervention Teacher to join a primary school in Southport. This role involves providing targeted support in Maths and English to pupils in Year 6 and Year 1, helping them to achieve their academic potential. The Role:As an Intervention Teacher, you will deliver tailored sessions to small groups and individual pupils, focusing on Maths and English. Your work will play a critical role in boosting pupils' confidence, closing attainment gaps, and preparing Year 6 pupils for their SATs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions in Maths and English for Year 6 and Year 1 pupils.
  • Assess pupils' progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet their individual needs.
  • Work closely with class teachers to align interventions with the curriculum.
  • Provide regular feedback to teachers and parents on pupil progress.
  • Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that promotes confidence and enthusiasm.
  • Help prepare Year 6 pupils for SATs and support Year 1 pupils in achieving their key milestones.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Maths and English in a primary school setting, ideally with experience in Year 6 and/or Year 1.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver effective interventions that improve pupil outcomes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
