The RoleAs a Supply Teaching Assistant in Southport, you'll provide essential support to students with a range of special educational needs. Working closely with school staff, you'll help foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging environment that meets the individual needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer support to students with SEND, assisting with both academic and social development.
  • Work 1:1 with students or in small groups, following guidance from the class teacher.
  • Provide personal care assistance as needed.
  • Contribute to implementing behavioural and educational support plans.
  • Collaborate with staff to create a safe, welcoming, and productive learning space.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting children with SEND, preferably within an educational setting.

  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
