The firm is seeking an Accounts & Outsourcing Semi-Senior to join their dynamic and growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual who is looking to progress their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, providing clients with timely and accurate financial information.
  • Provide outsourced accounting services, including bookkeeping, VAT returns, and payroll support, ensuring clients meet their compliance obligations.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients, offering support and advice on accounting and tax matters, and building strong professional relationships.
  • Utilize accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and other cloud-based systems to provide efficient services and reports.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Work closely with senior team members and managers to ensure deadlines are met, and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Assist in the review of internal processes and procedures, contributing ideas for improvement to ensure high standards of service delivery.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • AAT level 4 qualified and currently studying, or looking to study towards an ACA or ACCA qualification. Candidates who are not AAT level 4 qualified will be considered provided their experience meets the other criteria of the role.
  • Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential, with a strong background in preparing accounts and providing outsourced services.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and current regulations.
  • Proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software. Experience with cloud accounting solutions is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to clients.
  • A commitment to providing excellent client service and building lasting client relationships.
  • A collaborative attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • A desire for professional growth, with aspirations to progress within the firm.
