Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to work in specialist schools across the Portsmouth area, supporting students with a range of additional needs.

The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Will:
  • Have experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in an SEN setting or supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream school.

  • Be patient, understanding, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development as a Teaching Assistant.

  • Have experience with autism (ASC), ADHD, speech & language difficulties, PMLD, or other complex needs as a Teaching Assistant.

  • Be confident using alternative communication methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC (desirable but not essential) in a Teaching Assistant role.

  • Support students in their academic, social, and emotional development as a Teaching Assistant.

  • Work closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored learning plans as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
