Are you an experienced Electronics Engineer looking for an exciting role in the marine technology industry? Our client, a leading manufacturer of high-value electronic products, is seeking a talented engineer to join their service and support team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative subsea equipment, supporting both internal and external clients.
About the Role:
As an Electronics Engineer, you will play a key role in servicing, maintaining, and supporting advanced electronic subsea systems. This includes working on client-owned systems and internal demonstrator/trials equipment. You will also be involved in product testing, development, and troubleshooting. The role may require occasional offshore travel for trials, client training, and demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support, service, and maintain electronic subsea products.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
- Assist in product testing and development.
- Conduct trials, training, and product evaluations, occasionally offshore.
- Participate in an out-of-hours support rota.
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics or a relevant engineering discipline.
- Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach and a can-do attitude.
- IT literate, proficient in MS Office applications.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in the marine industry.
- Knowledge of marine geophysics, subsea positioning, or GNSS positioning.
- Experience working with electronic test and measurement equipment.
