Health and Safety Manager
Basic Salary circa 55,000 + bonus + benefits
Based in Nottinghamshire
My client is a leading provider of recycling and waste management solutions across the UK and they are currently looking for someone to lead the health and safety department at the Nottingham and Leicester site. This is a great opportunity for an experience health and safety leader with waste or industrial/manufacturing environment experience.
The Role:
- Leading the HSE team for the Nottingham site and also covering the Leicester site once a week on average.
- Managing a team of 2 direct reports
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety policies and procedures and leading incident investigations as well as providing support to management and other departments
- Taking the lead in developing, reviewing and updating policies to align with legal obligations and best practice
- Conducting thorough inspections and audits and driving implementation of improvements
The Person:
- We;re looking for someone with a proven track record of health and safety management within waste, recycling, mass production/manufacturing industries or heavy industry.
- It's essential that you have an NEBOSH qualification with a solid understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Management experience is essential and you'll be strategic but with a hands on approach and able to recruit to add to your team.
- Experience of implementing and supporting ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 audits and knowledge of COMAH sites and DSEAR risks would be highly advantageous.
The Package:
- A basic salary of circa 55,000 is offered, although there may be a little flexibility for someone with industry related experience
