An experienced and driven Billing Manager is needed to join the operations team at this award-winning Print Management, Telecoms and IT Solutions provider based in Newark on a full-time basis.  

The Billing Manager will oversee the contract billing team and be responsible for all service contract billing, contract and customer systems, processes, and data, as well as Revenue/Profitability reporting to the SMT and regions.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage 2 Direct Reports who are responsible for meter reading collections and Invoicing 
  • Own RPI Price Increases end-to-end 
  • Liaise with Credit Control and Customers where required to aid in cashflow management 
  • Take the lead on process improvement projects and new system implementations 
  • Identify ways to motivate, train and develop the members of the team 
  • Analyse and Report Revenue and profitability of contract revenue to the SMT and Regional teams
  • Manage the production, transmission and upload of electronic invoicing requirements for all clients
  • Ensure the ERP System holds accurate customer and contract data that supports accurate reporting, analysis and transmission of accurate data into the company's supplementary systems (CRM and Reporting tools)
  • Onboard new customers and contracts, administer, track and renew existing contracts
  • Oversee and maintain accurate records of all company-supplied assets 
  • Ensure the Contract Billing team continue to deliver excellent service to all internal and external customers
  • Collaborate effectively across the wider business to ensure department objectives are met 

Required Skills: 

  • Experience as a Billing manager would be ideal but not necessary if there is relevant hands-on experience overseeing a small team, contract management and invoicing with transferable skills
  • Strong administrative and organisational background with a proven ability to manage complex data and systems
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and relevant contract/asset management software
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and flexible approach
  • A desire for continuous improvement and professional growth
