About the Role:
Our client, a leading company in the heavy industry sector, is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrically Biased Engineer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer with previous experience in industrial environments to apply their expertise in a growing and dynamic company. The role requires flexibility to work a 3-shift pattern, ensuring the continued maintenance and efficiency of critical industrial operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a wide range of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Install and commission electrical systems, control panels, and machinery.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance (PPM) and address unplanned breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Fault-find on electrical systems, control circuits, PLCs, and motor control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and electrical regulations at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.


Key Requirements:

  • Level 3 Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in an industrial or heavy industry environment (e.g., manufacturing, production, power generation).
  • Solid knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, control panels, and motor control circuits.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with industry health and safety practices and standards.
  • Ability to work flexibly across shifts and in a team-oriented environment.
