About the Company: Our client is a manufacturing business based in Newark, operating three 30,000 square foot production units specialising in food product manufacturing using thermal extrusion. They are committed to achieving the highest standards of environmental compliance and sustainability.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Interim Environmental Management Systems Auditor to join our client's team. The successful candidate will conduct a comprehensive review of the current environmental policies and procedures, implement necessary changes, and guide the company towards securing ISO 14001 accreditation, essential for obtaining an A1 licence, which is their next step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough audit of existing environmental policies and procedures.
  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement in compliance with ISO 14001 standards.
  • Develop and implement effective environmental management systems and practices.
  • Provide training and support to staff on new environmental procedures.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of environmental initiatives.
  • Ensure all environmental regulations and standards are met across all production units.
  • Prepare the company for ISO 14001 certification and facilitate the accreditation process.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in environmental auditing and compliance, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 14001 standards and certification processes.
