Commissioning Engineer (Control Systems)
Up to 48k + car allowance
Nottingham - UK wide travel
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update project documentation.
- Review key software documents, including IO schedules, Functional Design Specifications, and test documentation.
- Conduct internal software testing for PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Perform client software testing for PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Configure and test Motor Control Centers (MCC) with intelligent components.
- Commission software and equipment in accordance with test documentation.
- Modify PLC, HMI, and SCADA software as required by clients, based on snag lists or variation requests.
- Finalize documentation updates and complete software handovers upon project completion.
- Monitor project commissioning allowances and report any potential overruns to Lead Software Engineers or Project Managers.
- Ensure awareness of project scope and control software changes, communicating necessary updates to Lead Software Engineers or Project Managers.
- Be available for site and office visits as required by project timelines and locations.
- Comply with the company's operational, HR, and safety procedures.
- Follow safe work practices and promote a safety-first culture.
- Represent the business professionally, maintaining and enhancing the company's brand.
Essential experience:
- GX Works 3 / GT Designer 3
- Studio 5000 / RSView ME & SE
- Strong electrical knowledge, ability to read diagrams, and preferably an electrical qualification
- Valid driver's license
Desired experience:
- Experience in process control for water & wastewater treatment
- RSNetWorx / RSLogix 500 & 5000
- GX IEC Developer & GX Developer
- E-Designer
- Network protocols (ProfiBus, Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet)
