We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer for our client located in Newark. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, ideally within the food manufacturing sector.
THE ROLEThe ideal Design Engineer will be enthusiastic about using their skills and expertise in a forward-thinking environment, key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs meet client requirements.
- Manage design projects from concept through to production.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting.
- Design layouts or redesign layouts to improve efficiency and functionality.
- Visiting sites, sometimes involving overnight stays.
The successful Design Engineer should have excellent communication and teamwork skills and have the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solid Edge, or similar.
- Experience with 3D modelling and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and machinery used in food production.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- 20 days holiday + BH
