Empowering Learning are working with a brilliant provision in the NG13 area who are looking to add to their staffing team from November 2024. The school houses children who present with SEMH & an array of other SEN.

This will be a full time and permanent role beginning November 2024. Hours of work will be 8:30-16:00

The main duties within this role will be:

  • Working on a 1:1 basis with pupils within the classroom and using the outdoor space
  • Leading small group interventions with pupils working below age expected levels
  • De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour had arisen
  • Liaising with senior members of staff in school around progress of the pupils
  • Contributing towards the wider goals of the school

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience of working with special educational needs
  • Can be resillient in the face of a challenge
  • Can build relationships with children who struggle to engage within lessons
  • Has a good sense of humour! (It helps)
