Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and oversee the Fire, Emergency, and Security Systems Apprenticeship standard.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive teaching and learning activities, including on-site assessments.
  • Act as a course tutor, providing guidance and support to students.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as per the Collegeā€™s curriculum quality policies.
  • Engage in the recruitment and enrolment of apprentices, working closely with triparty stakeholders.
  • Implement internal verification and assessment processes.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of programmes within the Engineering Apprenticeships.
  • Maintain professional standards and expertise through ongoing professional development.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations relevant to the role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Certificate in Education, PGCE, or equivalent, or willingness to obtain a Level 4 professional teaching qualification within two years.
  • Level 3 or above qualification in Fire, Emergency and Security Systems or a related subject area.
  • Recent industrial experience in Fire, Emergency, and Security Systems.
  • Proven ability to teach and manage learning specifically related to the design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of Fire, Emergency, and Security Systems.
  • Strong presentation skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • A commitment to non-discriminatory practices and the ability to respond to individual learning needs.
