Information about the Role:

Working as a Care Activities Coordinator at White Windows your duties will include the following:

路 To lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintainingtheir independence, choice, and dignity, to enable them to lead as full and active life as possible.

路 To create a stimulating and varied programme of leisure activities and social events, inside and outside of the home, for residents to enjoy.

路 To work with each new resident to understand their likes/dislikes, abilities and needs to put together an individual social care plan and to evaluate regularly.

路 To engage the local community into the daily lives of residents by initiating contact with local community groups enabling residents to partake / continue with hobbies and interests as desired.

Information about the Service:

White Windows is a wheelchair accessible residential home providing support and accommodation for up to 25 individuals who have a physical disability or neurological condition.

We support individuals who may have cerebral palsy, an acquired brain injury or stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida or hydrocephalus, as well as individuals living with Parkinson鈥檚 or Huntington鈥檚 Diseases.

Our dedicated team of highly skilled and trained support workers and carers have experience with PEG/NG care, wound management and the provision of end of life care. We provide support including personal care, health and well being, rehabilitation, community engagement, enablement and volunteering or activities.

Necessary Experience or Qualifications:

路 Someone who has a real passion for caring and helping people.

路 Ideally 6-months experience as a Care Activities Coordinator or 1 year working as an experienced Support Worker/ Healthcare Assistant / Domiciliary Carer.

路 UK driving licence desirable

路 Ability to work on a shift/rota pattern.

路 Have the right to the work in the UK
