Job Title: Systems Test Engineer (FTC 12 months)
Location: Sowerby Bridge
Job Purpose:
Collaborate with the Technology Team to ensure products meet specifications and certification requirements through testing, validation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans for electronics hardware, firmware, and product enclosures.
- Identify, report, and resolve product defects.
- Validate products against specifications and ensure certification compliance.
- Maintain accurate test records and provide input for production validation.
- Contribute to product development with a focus on cost, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of systems/product testing in a high-tech environment (lighting or connected devices preferred).
- Relevant qualifications (ISTQB, electronics/electrical/software).
- Proficiency in embedded C, unit/system testing, and full firmware development lifecycle.
Desired Skills:
- Experience in test automation and functional programming (Python, JavaScript, C++).
- Ability to create technical test specifications and implement test plans.
