Advanced Resource Managers is excited to support a leading structural steelwork fabricator in the UK, in their search for a Technical Manager at their headquarters. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a top-tier organisation known for its high-quality steel fabrication. In the Technical Manager role, you will oversee connection design and drawing office activities for projects, collaborating closely with the Project Manager and various design and client teams to gather essential construction information. Your responsibilities include:

-Coordinating with internal departments to ensure successful project delivery.

-Communicating with clients, contractors, and in-house teams to resolve issues and meet deadlines.

-Ensuring timely and quality delivery of drawing office outputs.

-Liaising with the commercial department to document and assess variations in project scope.

-Identifying special requirements for safe fabrication and erection of components, including temporary works.

-Monitoring project schedules and collaborating with the Project Manager to ensure timely deliverables.

-Raising Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries with the client and their representatives as needed.

Essential Experience and Skills

- Prior experience in structural steelwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong understanding of design and construction principles related to structural steelwork.
- Knowledge of best practices in detailing and the ability to produce clear, unambiguous drawings efficiently.
- Attention to detail combined with a broader perspective is essential, as the Technical Manager plays a vital role in ensuring project success, focusing on safety, quality, budget, and schedule.
