Accountant (Systems) - Permanent

Spalding - Office Based - Possibility of a hybrid role

Salary: Up to £60K

CIMA Qualified or ACCA

I am recruiting for an Accountant, preferably CIMA-qualified for a company based on the outskirts of Spalding. It would suit someone living relatively local to Spalding who can manage and enhance the financial systems for a diverse portfolio of businesses. The Accountant plays a critical part in providing strategic financial leadership, optimizing system efficiencies and ensuring continuous improvement of the finance processes and policies. You must be an experienced and driven Accountant to manage and enhance the financial systems for a diverse portfolio of businesses.

The Accountant is a key member of the finance team and will be responsible for managing system-related financial risks, streamlining operational efficiencies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. A strong financial background—preferably within manufacturing or construction industries, though this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Leading and developing a small finance team

- Delivering accurate, system-driven financial reporting

- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives within financial systems and processes

- Managing financial system risks and ensuring ERP system efficiency

- Ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

Skills/Quals:

  • CIMA Preferred (not essential)
  • ERP Systems
  • Data Analysis
  • Advanced Excel
  • Self-starter
  • Experience in Manufacturing or Construction (Not essential)

Benefits:

  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm / 1 hour lunch / or 4.30 pm with 30 mins lunch
