We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our school client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage software and be adept at handling day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient financial management within our educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
  • Maintain accurate financial records and manage invoices using Sage software
  • Process payments and manage petty cash
  • Support budget preparation and financial planning
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and financial regulations
  • Liaise with staff, parents, and external suppliers regarding financial matters

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
  • Proficiency in Sage software
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information

Education and Experience:

  • A relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in an educational environment is a plus

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
