We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our school client's finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage software and be adept at handling day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and efficient financial management within our educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
- Maintain accurate financial records and manage invoices using Sage software
- Process payments and manage petty cash
- Support budget preparation and financial planning
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager
- Ensure compliance with school policies and financial regulations
- Liaise with staff, parents, and external suppliers regarding financial matters
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in Sage software
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A high level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
Education and Experience:
- A relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Previous experience in an educational environment is a plus
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
