I have a great opportunity for a junior accountant to join a fresh produce business with a global presence. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with our financial policies. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and other team members to manage day-to-day accounting tasks, with a particular focus on utilising Sage and Tradabase accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Assist in preparing tax returns and other financial compliance tasks
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Contribute to the analysis and improvement of financial processes
- Work closely with senior accountants to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
What We're Looking For:
- A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for working with numbers
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using Sage and ideally Tradabase software
- with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
