I have a great opportunity for a junior accountant to join a fresh produce business with a global presence. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with our financial policies. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and other team members to manage day-to-day accounting tasks, with a particular focus on utilising Sage and Tradabase accounting software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Perform reconciliations of general ledger accounts
  • Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Assist in preparing tax returns and other financial compliance tasks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Contribute to the analysis and improvement of financial processes
  • Work closely with senior accountants to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

What We're Looking For:

  • A recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for working with numbers
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using Sage and ideally Tradabase software
