The Opportunity

Are you a commercially astute analyst looking for a role within a market-leading plc that can offer unrivalled career development and progression opportunity? As FP&A Analyst / Commercial Analyst you will focus on supporting colleagues in the commercial functions of the business. You will be drilling into pricing strategies, promotional successes and plans, margin trends, overriders, inflation recovery and profit maximisation projects, commodity models, variances to actuals...

Lots of interesting and commercially focused MI that makes a real difference.

It's a chance to add massive value - spotting trends from the top half of the P&L to provide insights that allows the business to make great decisions and ultimately drives value to the bottom line!

You'll be someone comfortable with large data sets - slicing and dicing the financial information to provide super credible MI.

You'll also be someone with great communication skills and the ability to business partner - you'll be a vital bridge between the central FP&A team and colleagues at site level.

There's lots of variety and interesting change to keep you entertained and to allow you to develop - it's expected that the role includes 60% BAU and 40% ad hoc / project tasks.

It’s a fast-paced, agile and modern PLC with an impressive team. You need great analytical and reporting skills - definitely confident of your excel skills and maybe someone who knows their way around Power BI. You also need to be a natural business partner - someone with commercial acumen and curiosity.

You need to be a relationship builder - someone who enjoys proactively getting away from their desk and into discussions around business performance, challenges and opportunities.

Required:

  • A background within business analysis / commercial reporting or management accounting.
  • Excellent data analysis skills and experience and strong IT skills.
  • Ability to bring the numbers to life.
  • Superb communication skills and relationship building ability.
  • Confidence to calmly and appropriately challenge the status quo and bring insights to the table that can change thinking and impact decision making.
