About The Role:

Our client is looking to recruit a Deputy Manager on a full-time basis working 40 hours per week for their children's home based in Spalding.

You would need to be on a shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities

· Ensure that the rights of the young people are upheld and promoted at all times in accordance with the principles of choice, respect, dignity and privacy.

· Ensure that all issues relating to the safeguarding of vulnerable children and/or adults are reported according to policies and procedures and in accordance with the safeguarding policy.

· Ensure that if there are significant changes to individual service users’ needs these are raised with the Service Manager.

· Ensure that all records are maintained in accordance with Heartwood Care’s policies and procedures.

· Conduct formal key work sessions with allocated young people and produce detailed reports for each session.

· Promote young people’s involvement in all areas including service delivery, quality assurance and organisational development.

· Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with both internal colleagues and external bodies alike.

The Ideal candidate will be:

· NVQ Qualified (Minimum Level 3) in a social care related subject.

. Children's Residential Care experience (2 Years)

. Understanding of OFSTED Regulations and compliance Requirements

· Able to demonstrate an understanding of social emotional and behavioural difficulties and how these may impact the lives of the young people that we support.
