Role: As part of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme, you will work closely with students, providing support in and out of the classroom. Your role will include assisting with lesson delivery, managing student behaviour, and supporting individual pupils or small groups, particularly those with additional needs.

Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme:

  • Assist in delivering engaging lessons under the guidance of teachers.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Help maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment.
  • Offer tailored assistance to students with specific learning needs or challenges.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of educational materials.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support students' overall development.

Requirements of the Teaching Assistant (TA) Programme:

  • Experience in care, working with vulnerable adults, or roles like sports coaching or children’s entertainment.
  • A passion for helping young people succeed and reach their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
  • A desire to learn and grow within the educational environment.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
