Operating from Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, we manage a vast farming operation and maintain joint ventures in fresh produce. We package fresh, wholehead vegetables for wholesale and high-street retailers.

The RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join our engineering team at our site in Fosdyke, working 18:00 - 06:00 on a 223 shift pattern.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high level of engineering services and technical support to the business, with focus on reducing downtime proactively using the sites PM software.

Duties to include:

  • The execution of day-to-day maintenance tasks, including line improvements
  • The provision and implementation of solutions in line with the engineering strategy to reduce downtime
  • Use of root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance
  • Involvement in engineering projects from inception to delivery as and when required
  • Continually drive towards a PPM culture
  • To assist in setting of machines in conjunction with the operations team
  • The provision of a first-class engineering service
  • Providing daily progress updates to the Site engineering lead
  • Working together with internal and external teams
  • Compliance with all health and safety, quality, and hygiene standards
  • Communicate effectively with engineering stores, on parts used, to maintain the restock cycle
  • Work alongside production with a "one team" mindset

Minimum skills / experience

  • Time served apprenticeship
  • Electrical qualifications from a recognised body
  • Mechanical qualifications from a recognised body
  • NVQ level 3 or BTEC L3 or equivalent
  • Electrical fault-finding skills
  • Logic Control experience (desirable)
