Senior Accountant/ Client Manager Spalding Hybrid Salary £42,000 - £60,000

Butler Rose is pleased to represent an ambitious, top 30 accountancy firm seeking a Senior Accountant/ Client Manager to join their Spalding office. This role has come due to growth. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of diverse clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and fostering positive engagement through regular visits, performance reviews, and identifying growth opportunities. Additionally, you will contribute to team practice and workflow management, strategic planning with clients, and on-the-job coaching. By identifying and addressing training needs, you will promote a culture of continuous improvement and play a key role in shaping and enhancing our teams approach.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships and ensure exceptional client service both online and in-person.
  • Explore business development opportunities with existing relationships to increase portfolio sizes.
  • Manage finances of portfolio, including driving monthly billing targets, monitoring and improving recoveries, debt recovery and forecasting.
  • Review VAT returns, personal tax returns and partnership returns, limited company and sole trader accounts.
  • Assist in the management of the office and developing junior members of staff

Personal Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience within an accountancy practice background.
  • ACA / ACCA qualified.
  • Proficient in MS Office / highly PC literate, along with sound accounting system knowledge. Iris software experience would be beneficial.
  • Methodical approach to handling workload of both self and others.
  • Organised and flexible, with a positive, solutions based perspective.
  • Personable with excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Able to develop strong client & team relationships.
