HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISOR

We are looking for a motivated Health & Safety Officer to join a market leader in their respective industry. Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be entrusted to lead parts of the business right from the start with responsibility for key results and involve managing hard and soft services, site and facilities maintenance, HSE group and improvement projects for the site. The position will appeal to a strong HSE professional looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead initiatives to embed health and safety practices across all sites.
  • Work with colleagues to develop Safe Systems of Work for all machinery and equipment.
  • Review and develop risk assessments across all horticultural sites (including COSHH.)
  • Investigate accidents and incidents and analyse trends to prevent reoccurrence.
  • With the H&S advisor evaluate business impact of new H&S legislation and ensure compliance.
  • Work with Managers to identify and solve gaps in health and safety related training

Skills and Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (Essential)
