Job Description: They are seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary to join our team of law specialists. This role supports our strategic framework by:
- Being trusted advisors to clients and colleagues.

- Developing longstanding relationships with key clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide typing, secretarial, and administrative support to the team.
- Assist with digital dictation and administrative tasks in line with the company’s workflow ethic.
- Transcribe and prepare correspondence and documents using audiotyping and word processing.
- Operate the case management system, including storing documents electronically.
- Handle administrative routines such as scanning, faxing, printing, and photocopying.
- Manage client/matter files, including filing, file opening, client care letters, and archiving.
- Use the strong room for document retrieval and management.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Arrange appointments, meetings, and maintain diaries for fee earners.
- Monitor compliance and Lexcel requirements.
- Attend to clients both in person and on the telephone, providing professional and friendly support.
- Work within administrative systems, manage finances, record time, and prepare bills.
- Ensure confidentiality of all company and client information.
- Perform any other reasonable requests from fee earners and/or managers.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience as a legal secretary (desirable), including the use of digital dictation tools.
- Strong computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office.
- Typing speed of at least 65 wpm with 90% accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail, including spelling and punctuation.
- Effective communication skills at all levels, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A problem-solving “can-do” attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic knowledge of fee earners’ work in a professional organisation.
