We are currently seeking a Warehouse Manager for our client, a leading organisation in the food industry. As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of warehouse performance and driving high standards within the team. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring strong leadership skills and operational expertise.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Successfully delivering the Warehouse Business Plan and efficiently managing all inbound, outbound, and internal activity.
  • Demonstrating strong leadership presence and actively supporting Zone Managers in driving performance.
  • Defining and implementing weekly reporting mechanisms to drive performance and actions.
  • Chairing performance review meetings and cascading relevant information to the Operations Manager.
  • Driving consistent working practises, targets, and KPIs throughout the Warehouse.
  • Promoting a strong health and safety culture and actively mitigating risks.
  • Overseeing all Warehouse-related SOPs and ensuring compliance.
  • Managing and addressing disciplinary, performance, and grievance issues.
  • Assessing skill gaps and identifying training solutions to address operational requirements.
  • Collaborating with HR to manage talent and succession planning.
  • Working with the Planning Manager to determine resource requirements and gain budget approval.
  • Defining and driving effective communication strategies and engagement initiatives.
  • Acting as a company representative during site visits and audits.
  • Leading and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience leading, motivating, and developing teams in a 24/7 operational environment. Previous experience in fast-moving warehousing, preferably in the food industry, is desirable. Strong change management skills, lean/continuous improvement knowledge, and budget management experience are also required.
