Production Planner

Our client is looking for an experienced Production Planner to join their team to coordinate and optimise production schedules. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring production efficiency by managing schedules and workflows to align with customer needs and organisational goals.

About the Role

As a Production Planner, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the smooth flow of materials—from raw materials and intermediates to finished products—throughout the production process. This role is vital in ensuring production schedules are met and that customers receive timely deliveries. Working closely with multiple departments, including site management, commercial, and supply chain, you’ll help to streamline operations, reduce delays, and support overall production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and Oversee Production Schedules: Create and manage production timelines that align with customer demands and support company objectives.
  • Cross-Department Coordination: Engage with various teams to ensure efficient production processes and swiftly address any obstacles that arise.
  • Inventory Management: Track stock levels, adjusting production plans as needed to maintain the right inventory balance.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Lead efforts in identifying and implementing strategies for increased productivity and streamlined operations.
  • Track Production Progress: Use scheduling and tracking tools to closely monitor the flow of production activities.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Partner with the supply chain team to secure materials and ensure they are available as required for uninterrupted production.
