We are seeking a Production Manager to lead our production facility, ensuring efficient processes, high-quality output, and adherence to safety standards.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality output.
  • Coordinate resources, manage staff, and optimise production schedules to meet deadlines while focusing on continuous improvement of quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of leadership within the production facility, supporting Team Leaders to provide guidance and create a productive working environment.
  • Conduct training and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and adaptable production team.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of production processes, ensuring timely and efficient production schedules.
  • Drive quality assurance, maintaining quality guidelines to ensure all products meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage stock levels through continuous feedback to procurement, ensuring smooth order flow.
  • Implement and adhere to a robust preventative maintenance plan to minimise downtime.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of production budgets, monitoring expenses and seeking cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are followed and promote a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure production objectives are aligned with company objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a production management role, preferably in a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools.
  • Experience using technical/bespoke IT systems.
  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
  • Process-driven and methodical with ambition to develop production methodologies in line with best practice.
  • Good knowledge and user experience with Microsoft Office package.
