Our client, a large Tier 1 Construction Contractor is currently recruiting a Site Manager near Spalding, to deliver a large extension to a school in the local area (Circa £10 Million Project), able to offer a 12+ month contract.

The role will entail working with the Senior Site Manager / Project Manager, to ensure the timely delivery of works vs programme. This position will predominately be focused on the delivery of internals, therefore a Carpentry background would be preferred (Preferred, not essential).

Daily duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Manage the construction site with the Project Manager, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Managing on-site personnel, including subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that the project is delivered to the highest possible standard and meets all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with HSQE regulations.
  • Completing inductions and toolbox talks.
  • Proactivity in identifying and resolving on site issues before they become apparent.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Support and development of junior members of staff.

Candidates will ideally have:

  • Previous experience delivering education extension projects within the construction sector (Projects circa £10 Million in value, or above).
  • Worked up from a carpentry background, with strong ability managing internals.
  • A valid CSCS Card (Black CSCS Card preferred).
  • A valid SMSTS Certificate.
  • A valid First Aid Certificate.
