SALARY- 55,000 to 65,000 per annum
My client designs and manufactures a range of special purpose machinery for various sectors. They are looking to expand their team by taking on a Technical Manager to work in their offices in Spalding.
The Technical Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Knowledge/Experience in both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
- Engineering qualificationin Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- Proven experience in managing engineering teams and projects
- Strong understanding of special purpose machinery design and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel when required
- Leading and managing the current engineering team
- Overseeing the design and development of products
- Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
- Design, test and implement PLC, BMS and control systems
- Coordinating with other departments (e.g., sales, production) to ensure project requirements are met
- Conducting technical reviews and providing guidance to the engineering team
- Implementing and maintaining engineering best practices and standards
- Preparing and presenting project reports
- Supporting business development activities by providing technical expertise and input
