This is a RARE opportunity for a Fresh Produce Buying Assistant / Junior Buyer / Procurement Executive with 2+ years of Fresh Produce Buying exp. behind them to elevate their career to the next step!

Our client are an international Fresh Produce operation who are looking to enhance their UK presence within fresh produce.

If you have purchasing exp. across Fresh Produce, particularly across citrus, berries & grapes - then this could be the perfect opportunity to elevate your career - secure a real pay rise, elevate your title on your CV and take on some real responsibility.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals and market demands.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, whilst working with existing partners across Spain & South America.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to understand industry trends, pricing, and availability.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and collaborate on improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor forecast and order levels to ensure adequate supply and minimise
  • excess or shortage.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms, pricing, and conditions.
