Ford and Slater are one the UKs largest DAF Truck dealers group with 16 locations from Norwich to Birtley in the North East, employing over 900 staff whilst remaining a family run business. We currently have an exciting position as a Parts Business Development Manager in the fantastic team at our DAF Trucks dealership in Spalding.

Who are we looking for as a Parts Business Development Manager:

  • You will have previous experience working as a Business Development Manager or within a Sales role in the Truck, Trailer, Commercial Vehicle, Car, Motor trade or associated sector.
  • Or have a keen interest in trucks and know your car, truck / trailer parts and have a passion for sales.
  • Have the ability to manage your own diary, generate sales meeting with new and existing customers and a drive to exceed targets.
  • A client-driven individual with excellent communication skills.
  • PC Literate.
  • Full UK driving licence.

The Business Development Manager (Truck & Trailer Parts) role / responsibilities include (but not limited to):

You will be given a number of existing customers to manage and your territory to develop will be Spalding and the surrounding area (approx. 30 miles radius). Your main responsibility will be to maintain and grow sales of our Truck & Trailer parts business within existing and new customers both face to face and over the phone. Make client visits as and when required to establish and maintain long term relationships to grow sales. Promote additional add on sales opportunities. Negotiate the terms of an agreement and effectively close sales.
