GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a dynamic team at an outstanding school in Spalding. This full-time role offers the opportunity to teach KS3 and KS4 students and make a real impact on their educational journey. The position is set to start in January 2025, with a potential extension beyond February half-term 2025.

Responsibilities of the English Teacher:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of students in KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to develop their reading, writing, and communication skills.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to support individual learning needs.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any areas for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an engaging and supportive curriculum.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and classroom management.

Requirements of the English Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Strong understanding of the English curriculum and the ability to create engaging lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Passion for fostering a love of literature and language in students.
  • Commitment to providing inclusive education and meeting the needs of diverse learners.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
