Step Teachers are collaborating with a secondary school in a market town on the River Welland in South Holland that is looking for a motivated and experienced Food Technology Teacher to join their dynamic team. The selected applicant will be in charge of providing high-quality education in food technology, instilling a love of culinary arts, and ensuring that students reach their full potential in this exciting subject area. This is a long-term supply role. This successful applicant is scheduled to start in January 2025.

Food Technology Teacher- Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards for food technology.
  • As a Food Technology Teacher, you will have the responsibility of instructing students in the principles and practices of food technology, including food preparation, nutrition, and safety.
  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
  • Maintain an organized and well-equipped food technology laboratory.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate food technology into broader educational initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in food technology education.

Food Technology Teacher- Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in food technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as Food Technology Teacher.
  • Strong knowledge of food technology principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students in the field of food technology.
