The Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and support children with special educational needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students, helping them to achieve their full potential.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30 to 15.30, Term-time only

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.

About You:

  • Either personal or professional experience with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
