TeacherActive has an amazing opportunity for a SEND Teacher to work with an amazing Secondary SEN Provision based in DL16. The schools offers amazing teaching facilities to encourage students with various specific requirements and disabilities to help enhance their quality of learning and keep the students engaged, which allows such a positive environment.
The school is seeking a Teacher who also has experience Teaching to Secondary level. A successful applicant will be working with Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/ASD, ADHD and other special educational needs. The role of SEND Teacher is key when providing support to children with additional needs to ensure full engagement of pupils.
A successful SEND Teacher:
- Has relevant Qualifications (QTS) and training in SEND is preferred but not essential.
- Experience handing challenging behaviour.
- Have the ability encourage pupils' confidence, learning and development.
