Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (pro rata, depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Are you an exceptional Biology Teacher seeking a fulfilling opportunity to inspire young scientists? GSL Education is recruiting a dedicated and knowledgeable Biology Teacher to cover a maternity leave at a well-regarded secondary school in Spilsby. This role is suitable for full-time applicants only and is open exclusively to candidates residing in the UK.

The Role:

As a Biology Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Biology lessons to students across KS3, KS4, and KS5, fostering a passion for the subject.
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum, ensuring all students reach their academic potential.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-level examinations, instilling confidence and critical thinking skills.
• Contribute to the wider Science Department, promoting innovation and collaboration among staff.

What We Are Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience teaching Biology up to A-Level (KS5) in UK secondary schools.
• A deep understanding of the National Curriculum and exam board specifications for Biology.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
