Our client manufactures, supplies, and installs bespoke electrical products, for the Leisure Park and Marina industries.

Due to growth, they are now looking for an organised individual with good IT and communication skills to join their office-based team. You will be a highly motivated individual who is adaptable and reliable. You should be confident of working under your own supervision as well as being a member of a team.

About the Technical Assistant role:

This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced contracting environment where you will be busy organising the administration for different projects simultaneously. You will prepare electrical designs, ancillary paperwork and documents and assist with raising quotations through to project completions.

Our client aims to deliver excellent customer service, which is reflected in almost 40 years of continued return from their loyal customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will be the first point of contact for Sales Engineers
  • Preparation of electrical designs/drawings
  • Occasional travel to site
  • Liaising with production and on-site contractors
  • Ancillary paperwork and documents
  • To work with other members of staff in respect of ordering material, procurement of goods and services connected with specific projects
  • On project completion, in conjunction with other staff members, produce handover documentation, typically installed drawings and O&M manuals

The ideal Technical Assistant will:

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be passionate about offering a good standard of customer service
  • Be self-motivated, able to multitask, and demonstrate excellent time management skills
  • Have the ability to listen attentively, identify important information, and capture the data accurately
  • Be flexible and take on additional tasks when required

Skills:

  • Familiarity with the use of Microsoft Office software is a necessity
  • Familiarity with the use of Google Drive/Google Sheets would be an advantage
  • Basic understanding and use of Auto Cad, not essential as training available
  • Electrical knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
