Hygiene Operative (Cleaner)
Rotating shifts Monday to friday 8.30am-5pm

Job Purpose
Will support the production team to ensure all facilities are kept clean with post cleaning checks ensuring all cleaning is done according to standard operating policy, health and safety and hygiene requirements.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Cleaning all vessels, mobile and static
Keeping factory floors, under racking, racking cabinets and shelving clean
Completing daily/weekly/monthly record sheet
Ensuring the floors are safe at all times, using yellow wet floor signs to highlight cleaning in progress
Ensuring all tanks, including large static tanks are clean, dry and odour free and stored in the correct location, with lids once cleaned
Ensuring the floor is clean and all spills are mopped up, making sure the area under and around workstations is cleaned regularly
Changing spill matting when soiled and clean out drip trays when required
Cleaning hot cabinet shelves with solvent to remove stickiness
Wiping down racking as required
Removing all debris from under C3 storage tanks
Cleaning the corrosive cabinets as per the rota
Keeping the floor scrubber clean and always empty after use to improve the life of pipework and report problems with floor scrubber immediately
Ensuring jet wash hoses are not left lying in the wash bay
Keeping wash bay area clean and dry after use, removing all debris from the gantry
Keeping stock of all cleaning materials, scrubber pads and bin bags and inform Shift Managers of any items that require re-stocking before they run out
Maintaining standards of hygiene, quality and product safety within the designated area in order to meet the customer service standards and maintain product integrity
Following agreed controls for safe working practices
Identifying dangers within the workplace and notifying your Shift Manager / Health& Safety Manager
Always conforming to manual handling instructions
Reporting issues / repair requirements / operating faults with equipment, to Shift Manager
Ensure full training is completed in order to safely operate equipment / machinery / raw materials. DO NOT operate any machinery you have not been trained to use
Skills and Attributes Required
Experience cleaning an equipped factory environment
Be responsible and risk aware ensuring safety to self and all
Ability to work on own initiative and be good at own time management to ensure cleaning efforts do not adversely affect production
Be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and management team
Have good knowledge of H&S and CoSHH
