A specialist fire consultancy in Hertfordshire is looking for a Graduate Fire Engineer to join their growing team of 10 experienced Fire Engineers.

The successful Graduate Fire Engineer will gain a wealth of experience in a variety of sectors, including offices, public entertainment venues, shopping centres, schools, universities, hospitals, hotels, and residential developments.



The Graduate Fire Engineer's Role

The successful Graduate Fire Engineer will receive full training and mentorship from senior engineers, gaining practical experience across a range of fire engineering disciplines.

  • Assisting in the development of fire safety strategies for buildings
  • Supporting the design of smoke control systems
  • Learning Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling
  • Assisting with structural fire protection analyses
  • Understanding fire-resisting construction, compartmentation, and fire stopping
  • Conducting means of escape calculations


The Successful Graduate Fire Engineer Will Have

  • A degree in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • A keen interest in fire safety and fire engineering principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn from experienced professionals
