In the Technical Officer role, you will be:
- Providing technical support and offering expert advice to service users and throughout the service
- Creating specifications, CAD drawings, and obtaining necessary consents
- Preparing estimations, quotes, contracts and monitoring building works to ensure compliance and high standards
- Producing and completing necessary documentation including a schedule of rates, data inputting and other admin as and when required
- Providing feedback on workload progress and maintaining performance records
- Supervising service teams in the absence of line management
To be successful in the Technical Officer role, you will need:
- A minimum of 6 months experience working in a busy office environment
- Knowledge of building contracts and schedule of rates
- Proficient in using computerised databases, with good IT and admin skills
- Previous experience providing information and guidance in a similar service based role
- Experience dealing with general public with ability to respond sensitively to clients
- Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiating skills
- Flexible, adaptable, and holds a full UK driving licence
This is a full-time vacancy working Monday to Friday on a temporary basis of initially 3 months. You'll be office based from their site in St Asaph and you'll be starting on a salary IRO of £14.75 per hour plus benefits.
