The job role


This opportunity is all about providing a business focused HR service across a range of sites in the West Country, Staffordshire and Yorkshire. About 25% of the role involves travel outside of Cornwall otherwise you will be based in our Par Head Office. We are looking for an experienced HR generalist who is a confident and capable business partner. Responsibilities include:


  • Ensuring the business is compliant with current UK employment legislation
  • Ensuring HR is integrated with the local management teams to make a valued contribution to the company in a multicultural environment
  • Being the first point of contact for designated Managers on a range of HR
  • Supporting designated Managers with the effective handling of their day-to-day HR issues such as absence management, discipline & grievance, recruitment, succession planning, people development, understanding of training needs and supporting development plans
  • Supporting with compensation change requests, merit review process, bonus plan and objective setting and implementation
  • Supporting the business and its employees during change programmes thus maintaining positive employee relations and successful implementation of change

You will:


  • Be CIPD qualified
  • Have experience of operating in a similar role within a multi sited complex organisation
  • Have a deep knowledge of HR functional areas especially change management, compensation and benefits, training and development and employee relations
  • A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices
  • Be autonomous, credible and solutions focused
  • Be able to navigate through ambiguity
  • Be able to operate within an ever changing organisation
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a full UK driving licence and be mobile for business trips in the UK
