Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive individual who has previous skills and knowledge of working across a variety of commercial and domestic properties and construction. They must possess previous experience as well as additional plumbing qualifications. You must be loyal, honest, hardworking, and proactive.

You will carry out the following tasks on our own estate which comprises of medium and large healthcare buildings and other sites.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

  • To undertake plumbing work across the property portfolio including Domestic and Commercial construction and maintenance.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations and mechanical reactive faults, and complete reactive repairs to the building systems and fabric in line with the service level agreement.
  • Installation 1st and 2nd Fix
  • Carry out full pre planned maintenance schedules and reactive maintenance to all systems within a building to include water, plumbing and sanitaryware.
  • Perform and/or oversee fabric and plumbing repair and troubleshooting.
  • Perform water treatment and testing. Training given as required.
  • Perform all assigned work to ensure the safety of the building's tenants and the continuous operation of the site; this may include tasks unrelated to plumbing, in order to ensure consistent service provision.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
  • Order parts and supplies as required and maintains stock and inventory control.
  • To complete general maintenance tasks that fall within your capability, in line with the needs of the business
  • Ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed in accordance with established procedures
  • Work with the full engineering team liaising with other specialisms where necessary
  • Perform other duties within your capabilities as assigned.
  • Maintain the reputation of the company for high standards of work and professionalism at all time.
  • To work as a positive team player, demonstrating mutual respect and integrity for others whilst maintaining open and effective communication at all levels with the business.

Key Skill/Experience Requirements

  • Required: NVQ Level 2 6089 NVQ Mechanical engineering services Plumbing (Minimum of Three years experience)
  • Preferred: NVQ Level 3 6189-33 NVQ Diploma in plumbing & Heating (Minimum of Three years experience)
  • CSCS Card
  • Valid UK Driving License
  • Substantial, relevant experience in commercial facilities management.
  • Substantial, relevant experience and/or qualifications in working at height and health and safety and the ability to work in accordance with health and safety requirements as a matter of routine.
  • Well versed in completing paperwork including PPM paperwork, inspection sheets, RAMS etc
  • Good working knowledge of the building services environment and other disciplines would be a distinct advantage.

Your work will take you into buildings with children and vulnerable adults, therefore you will be asked to complete an enhanced DBS check.
