ROLE: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

RATE: 450 - 500 PER DAY

LOCATION: ST AUSTELL, CORNWALL PL25

DURATION: 6 MONTHS +

START: 03/03/2025

This position for a freelance Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the commercial management working within the Civil Engineering sector on a national grid project. The contract is NEC so you will be fully conversant with this and be able to demonstrate a high degree of commercial knowledge and understanding of contractual and commercial processes.

Key duties, skills, and responsibilities required:

To be an ambassador for the commercial team, working closely with colleagues, clients, suppliers and across the supply chain to deliver a highly valued service.

To consistently demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness of company services to create the best value solution for the client and company

To have a clear understanding of the contract applicable to the project on which you are working and the risks and opportunities that this presents.

To understand the project measures and performance criteria, influencing the performance of suppliers and teams against these metrics.

To produce accounts, forecasts and management information, monitoring costs and resources to ensure the project meets or exceeds target

To prepare valuations, variations and invoice submissions and payments through to project close out and account settlement
