ROLE: QUANTITY SURVEYOR

RATE: 450 - 500 PER DAY

LOCATION: ST AUSTELL, CORNWALL PL25

DURATION: 6 MONTHS +

START: 03/03/2025

This position for a freelance Quantity Surveyor will take responsibility for the commercial management working within the Civil Engineering sector on a national grid project. The contract is NEC so you will be fully conversant with this and be able to demonstrate a high degree of commercial knowledge and understanding of contractual and commercial processes.

Key duties, skills, and responsibilities required:

  • To be an ambassador for the commercial team, working closely with colleagues, clients, suppliers and across the supply chain to deliver a highly valued service.
  • To consistently demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness of company services to create the best value solution for the client and company
  • To have a clear understanding of the contract applicable to the project on which you are working and the risks and opportunities that this presents.
  • To understand the project measures and performance criteria, influencing the performance of suppliers and teams against these metrics.
  • To produce accounts, forecasts and management information, monitoring costs and resources to ensure the project meets or exceeds target
  • To prepare valuations, variations and invoice submissions and payments through to project close out and account settlement
