Busy Bee Recruitment are looking for an enthusiastic candidate genius to come our client’s team of School Caretakers based at their secondary school based in the heart of St Neots, Cambridgeshire

Who are we?

Job Role / Duties:

  • Assist the Site Manager to ensure that external areas are maintained to a high standard, including the removal of graffiti and litter.
  • Under direction of the Site Manager, respond to Academy evacuations, including fire alarms.
  • Review the CCTV in conjunction with the Site Manager and respond to requests from the Senior Leadership Team to view and record footage.
  • Be proactive in relation to access to the site by contractors and visitors and for deliveries.
  • Carry out repairs to property, fixtures & fittings, and equipment with special regard to any Health and Safety issues which may arise.
  • Direct workmen and contractors to the sites of repair and maintenance work.
  • Report any repairs which are beyond your capabilities to the Site Manager.
  • Carry out weekly checks on fire equipment to include fire extinguisher- emergency lights- and call points.

What we are looking for:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • You will need an Enhanced DBS certificate
  • Good communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Good knowledge of general maintenance
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and regulations
