This role involves promoting and selling irrigation products and complete system sales, along with aerator sales when required. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with current installers, dealer networks, and irrigation consultants across Birmingham to the South Coast of the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations for project sales through to contract awarding for irrigation products.
- Quote small irrigation project opportunities in collaboration with the Division Manager.
- Respond promptly to product enquiries, leading to sales opportunities.
- Handle customer queries efficiently, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing customers and focus on after-sales opportunities.
- Deliver and present product training to end-users, contractors, designers, and colleagues as required.
- Participate in product and personal development training to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Provide technical support and installation monitoring for irrigation projects within the territory.
- Create detailed technical reports covering all irrigation project visits.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with sales opportunities and customer interactions.
- Submit a monthly call report detailing all activities within the assigned territory.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct suitable for engaging with a broad range of customers and stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
- Technical knowledge of irrigation and aeration products is highly desirable (full training will be provided).
- Previous sales experience in the turf industry, particularly with irrigation/aeration products, would be an advantage.
- A solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong administrative, organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, sales, and customer service abilities.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
